B&Q will be berthed at Port Pendennis Marina, Falmouth, at least until Sunday while the shore team refit her engine and propeller to prepare her for her next more gentle, fully crewed voyage east up the English Channel. Her programme beyond that will be announced shortly...
IF YOU HAVEN'T HAD ENOUGH...BIG TV FEATURE TONIGHT 9 Feb 2005 - 11:10
For UK viewers and those with access to ITV1 via Sky Network, tune in at 2200 tonight for a 30 minute feature on Ellen's record breaking voyage. There will also be an in depth BBC1 documentary to be broadcast in a couple of weeks time, date to be confirmed. For viewers in France, Ellen should be on Thalassa this Friday night...

THANK YOU TO OUR PARTNERS 8 Feb 2005 - 19:40
Of course Ellen could not even have set out to break this record without the team of sponsors and partners who make this campaign possible. Sailing is a mechanical sport, and the machines cost money! B&Q and Castorama are title sponsors, but behind them is a team of dedicated and long term Performance Partners. Check out our full team of Partners on www.offshorechallenges.com, and thank you to them for their knowledge, support and commitment - sometimes on the phone at some unsociable times!
THANK YOU SUPPORTERS! 8 Feb 2005 - 19:28
A huge thank you to all the supporters that have been following Ellen's challenge via the website...and a massive THANK YOU for the 65,000 (and still climbing) emails that you have sent to Ellen. They have kept Ellen and her shore team motivated for over two months. Thank you CAZ in particular for the fantastic web art! And thank you the NMMC and FALMOUTH!
ELLEN'S PROGRAMME FOR THE COMING DAYS 8 Feb 2005 - 19:19
Ellen will be staying in Falmouth for the next few days, completing a tiring round of TV interviews tonight, filming for an ITN 30 minute feature tomorrow, as well as getting lots of sleep compared with the past couple of months! On Friday she will fly to France to visit the Castorama team at their HQ in Lille, followed by a Thalassa French TV appearance in Marseilles...and then time for some days off! Adjusting to life back on land, after nearly 72 days alone at sea, is a fairly brutal process..
SOME PERSPECTIVE ON THIS RECORD TIME 8 Feb 2005 - 19:13
Ellen's time around the planet a tiny 3 minutes and 35 seconds faster than SPORT ELEC, the successful 1997 Jules Verne trophy winner (fully crewed, as opposed to solo, round the world record). This makes Ellen the fourth fastest of any record time (excluding The Race 2000) around the planet, solo or fully crewed.
