La Solitaire du Figaro - just before the start of the 2nd leg

Liz, how do you feel after this wonderful first leg where you finished 14th?
« I’m really happy about that. It was a short leg, but very difficult with light winds, fog and currents. It was hard until the finish line and I had to keep my good place after Royal Sovereign for 60 long miles. I wouldn't have done differently ! »

Are you ready after only a 36 hours break ?
"Yes, I had two good nights and I feel quite good. Boat is ready and I studied the weather forecast."

Are you afraid by this long leg ?
"Not at all. I’m looking forward to the longer legs in particular I think to do well at night time. I made all my gain at night during the first leg. The more nights we have, the better it is for me."

We saw you with Emma Richards, english sailor very famous here in England, it was important to catch up here with Emma ?
"Yes, it was nice to catch up with Emma. We get on well together, we sailed on the same boat during the Volvo Ocean Race. And she did the Around Alone race so we discussed about all that, it was nice to see her again."
